Our Learning Resources have been developed in partnership with community leaders, municipal sustainability practitioners and subject area experts to provide municipalities and industry leaders across multiple resource management professions with working practical knowledge of community planning tools that are being used throughout Alberta.
Learning Objectives: Community leaders and corporate professionals will also be able to: map community assets with an understanding of the interface between social, cultural, and economic values of communities; identify and engage key stakeholders in the planning and implementation process; apply regional sustainability objectives to local land use planning and policy, and have confidence in participating in the application of regional sustainability objectives at the community planning level.
These half-day sessions with Sustainability Professionals (subject matter experts) are delivered in a workshop setting with decision-makers from cross-sectors. These are a great way to increase knowledge and network with fellow community leaders!
