This is a NEW Project for Sustainability Resources with start-up funding through the Shell Fueling Change Initiative and dedicated support from water leaders from across Alberta. Stay tuned for project updates and follow us @ABWaterToolkit

Project Outline: This project will bring water management and stewardship tools to community leaders, industry leaders, and decision makers across Alberta's vast watershed landscape, build capacity, and encourage leadership in sustainable stewardship of our watersheds.

This project is intended to improve the participation and uptake of watershed management plans and stewardship initiatives across Alberta's 11 major watersheds (Peace, Athabasca, North Saskatchewan, Slave Lake, Lesser Slave, Battle, Red Deer, Bow, Old Man, Milk, South Saskatchewan).

Through active engagement with landowners, decision makers, community and industry leaders in each of these watersheds in the creation and distribution of a Watershed Toolkit, we will inspire leadership and enable hands-on action in our watersheds to protect habitat, stabilize stream banks, manage land use, understand whole-system water management, foster stewardship ethics in our communities, and celebrate our successes as stewards!
